In the Hamptons: 6 Shops to Complement Your GH Piece

“The Hamptons” often gets a reputation for being fancy and full of high-end stores. But the spots I love most are the ones that have been here forever, the local favorites with real charm. I’m always finding inspiration in pairing small accents, fresh florals, plants, or coffee-table books with my artwork. I thought I’d share a few of my go-to home and garden stores in the Hamptons that offer beautiful accents and help create an atmosphere that feels complete and intentional.

Marders

For those who love a lush, coastal feel (like me!), a tall fig or bird of paradise adds height and vibrancy. Imagine a gallery-size East Hampton Lifeguards hanging beside an oversized palm: talk about a statement. A tip I use at home: hide the plant pot in a woven basket to complement an oak frame and keep the look refined.

Inner Sleeve Records

Music sets the tone. I love stopping by Inner Sleeve for records, from new releases, classics, and party favorites alike. Playing vinyl while Finding Shade at Surfrider Beach hangs nearby creates a nostalgic, lived-in mood that pairs perfectly with the film photography aesthetic.

Sag Harbor Florist

Add a touch of nature to your entryway or dining room with a fresh, seasonal bouquet. Picture soft blue hydrangeas in front of Blues of Coopers, or an autumn arrangement of amber and gold tones beside Autumn in Central Park. Simple floral accents enhance both the color palette and mood of your piece.

In-Home, Sag Harbor

This shop offers a beautifully curated selection of candles, incense, dinnerware, and glassware. Their pieces bring warmth and craftsmanship into the home, echoing the same appreciation for quality and atmosphere found in fine art.

Fishers Home Furnishings

For finishing touches, pillows, throws, table linens, or coastal-inspired lamps, to furniture Fishers has it all. I love mixing textures and tones in any room to build on the mood and make the environment feel inviting and lived in.

BookHampton

BookHampton in East Hampton is my go-to for coffee-table books. They carry a great mix of local titles and art books. I love stacking books on a side table or console, layering colors and covers adds depth and makes the space feel welcoming and personal.
