In introducing the first version of this now annual list, I’m celebrating the ten photographs that were shot in 2025 and resonated the most with you. The envelope, please: Here are the top 10 best-selling photographs from 2025, each with a little backstory.
10. Southern Steps of Bondi
Eight people - three couples, two singles, one in speedos, another topless. A timeless scene of strangers sharing a sliver of sunbathing real estate on Bondi’s Southern Steps. A cast of characters brought together by the simple desire to bask in the sun. Movie rights pending.
9. Rounding the Mark
This series was shot during the 60th Block Island Race Week, the biannual regatta in the Block Island Sound. This series brings a fresh energy and sense of speed that pulls you into the emotion of the race.
8. Wades Beach
I took this photo on a summers day during a heat wave on Shelter Island. Known as being a locals’ beach, it was the perfect spot to escape the heat. What I love most about Wades Beach is the photogenic lifeguard chair on film. The colors are gorgeous and the vibe it creates is nostalgic!
7. Venice Skate Park
The woman in the center of the frame makes this image for me; poised in a fleeting moment as the skater on the right gains speed for her next trick. Shot on 35mm at Venice Beach Skate Park, the same iconic park featured in Barbie, the film captures the raw energy and fearless skill of these female skaters.
6. Ladies of Georgica Beach
I love how the four ladies sit together with their glasses of wine, Hamptons hats on and matching beach chairs, all looking out toward the ocean. The moment was completely un-staged yet perfectly timed, even down to the American flag on the lifeguard chair swaying in the wind. It was one of those scenes that just clicked, and I couldn’t wait to see the scan when the film was developed!
5. Members Only
Photographed at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club on 35mm film, this image captures a nostalgic, tranquil scene, quintessential of a Hamptons summer day. Many people comment on the colors: the iconic Hamptons blue, the warm tan of the sand, and the whites from the chairs and umbrella accents, all working together to create its timeless feel.
4. Cruising on Shelter Island
One of the only petrol stations on Shelter Island, this photograph carries a distinctly vintage feel; an old Mustang paired with the Mobil station. You would think it was shot in the 70s, yet it was captured just this past July on 35mm film.
3. The Colony Hotel
Shot in Palm Beach, Florida on 35mm film in March 2025, I opted to use Kodak Gold film to amplify the Colony Hotel’s signature colors. The crisp symmetry of the bikes is what draws many collectors to this piece.
2. The Espy, Manly
I captured this serendipitous moment in Manly, Sydney, as a group leapt off the promenade into the bay. What I love most is its cheeky, rebellious energy, especially with the “no jumping” sign on the right, which everyone happily ignores.
1. East Hampton Lifeguards
Photographed on 35mm film at Atlantic Beach in Amagansett during the 2025 Hampton Lifeguard Association Tournament. The guards were overlooking the beach-flags event when a formation of jets passed overhead. Collectors are often drawn to its retro feel- the vibrant colors and the textured grain that only film can create.
Some photographs are windows to a calm coastal setting; others capture the thrill of the moment. All are invitations to join the subjects of the frame. Shop the Best Selling Collection to bring one of these moments home, and as always, thanks for being along for the ride.
