Photographing the Italian Coastline was a tremendous joy. During my time in Sorrento, Positano, and Capri in July 2026, I set out to capture the coastline as it truly feels — bright, effortless, and shaped by the way people move through it. The Mediterranean has a rhythm of its own, and this collection reflects the moments where landscape and lifestyle meet.
I created this series with a simple intention: to bring a sense of place into your home. Italy holds meaning for so many people — a memory, a dream, or a feeling. These photographs are meant to offer a window into that daydream.
Life Along the Mediterranean
What drew me in most was the ease of everyday life along the coast. Beach clubs tucked beneath cliffs, swimmers moving through turquoise water, boats drifting across the horizon, and long afternoons spent in the sun — these scenes define the Mediterranean in summer.

Capri
Capri carries a different energy — vibrant beach clubs, iconic rock formations, and constant movement around the island. From the sweeping views from Anacapri to the shoreline at Bagni da Maria, Capri offers a mix of scenes that blend elegance with ease.

Positano
Positano’s dramatic coastline creates endless opportunities to photograph life on the water. Yachts drift along the Mediterranean, the town rises in layers of color, and the atmosphere shifts throughout the day — from bright mornings to warm, golden afternoons.

Sorrento
In Sorrento, I was drawn to the relationship between the cliffs and the sea below. From above, the beach clubs become part of the landscape — geometric pops of color against deep blue water, with swimmers moving between the shore and the sea.

Behind the Photographs
I photographed the collection using both digital and 35mm film. For digital work, I used the new Hasselblad X2D II 100C paired with the XCD 2,8–4/35–100E lens. I also brought my Nikon F‑601, shooting Kodak Gold 200 35mm film. This combination allowed me to capture both expansive views and quieter, more immediate moments — preserving the coastline’s color, clarity, and atmosphere.
